C. Collins, 1898-19--, was born in Balmain, N.S.W. He enlisted in July 1918 served in the Pacific with the Samoan Relief Party during the Spanish influenza epidemic, then in England, and re-enlisted in the A.I.F. during the World War 1939-1945. Before migrating to England, Collins lived on Lord Howe Island, 1947-1957. He has had articles published in journals on his travels and Lord Howe Island, presumably using the pseudonym of Colin Bell.
